Broadside Battle Arena is made by one developer. Every report is read by the person who can fix it. Here is how to reach us and what to send so the first reply is the fix.

Contact us

  • Email: clawdistani@hotmail.com for bugs, questions, player reports, account requests and appeals.
  • In the game: the FEEDBACK / BUG button on the title screen sends a report straight to us with your build number attached.
  • Who answers: Siphaawal, the developer. There is no ticket system and no bot. Replies usually take a few days; longer during a release week.
  • Language: English.

1. Report a bug or crash

Email clawdistani@hotmail.com with the subject Bug: and one line on what happened. The four things that turn a report into a fix:

  1. The build number. It is printed at the bottom right of the title screen, for example BUILD 0.1.0 | EARLY ACCESS. Epic Games Launcher users can also copy the version shown in the launcher's library.
  2. What you did and what you expected. "Selected two ships, pressed F on an enemy, nothing fired" beats "combat is broken".
  3. Roughly when. Date and time with your time zone lets us find the match on our side.
  4. The log file, if you can. In the Epic Games Launcher, open the game's page, choose Manage, then the folder icon next to the installation to open the install folder. Inside it, open the game's own subfolder (the one that is not Engine), then Saved\Logs\; the newest .log file is the one. Attach it or paste the last hundred lines.

Screenshots and short clips help most for anything visual. A crash produces a crash-reporter window; press Send there as well, then email us the build number so we can pair the two.

2. The in-game FEEDBACK / BUG button

On the title screen, FEEDBACK / BUG opens a small form. Choose the type, write what happened, press SEND. The report carries your build number and, if you are signed in, your player name, so we can reply through the email on your Epic account if we need more. It sends nothing else.

Use it while the problem is fresh. It works whether or not you are signed in.

3. Report a player

Text chat and voice chat are live between players and are not moderated automatically. You can mute voice with the MIC button and simply leave a match. To report abuse, cheating or a name that breaks the Terms of Service, email us with the player's display name, the approximate time, and what happened. We act on reports; the terms describe what we can do, from a warning to a permanent ban.

A persistent block list and an in-game report button are on the roadmap.

4. Sign-in and connection problems

  • Sign-in loops or fails: sign out of the Epic Games Launcher, sign back in, then start the game from the launcher. The game signs in with the account the launcher is using.
  • "Signed in but not in the lobby": our servers may be updating; wait a minute and press Multiplayer again. If it lasts longer than fifteen minutes, tell us.
  • Cannot join a friend, or the match returns you to the menu: make sure you are both on the same build number. After a game update the launcher patches automatically; restart it if the version differs.
  • Voice chat silent: voice needs an Epic sign-in and the MIC button set to ON. Check Windows has the right input device as default.
  • Ports: matches use the Epic relay over UDP. Nothing needs to be opened on a home router; strict corporate networks may block it.

5. System requirements

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. A graphics card that supports DirectX 12 Shader Model 6 (NVIDIA RTX 2060 / AMD RX 5700 or newer). 16 GB of memory and about 6 GB of disk. An Epic Games account. The game does not start on older graphics cards; that is a hard requirement of the rendering features it uses.

If it runs slowly, lower the quality preset in Options. The four audio sliders there set music, voices, effects and interface volume separately.

6. Your account and your data

Your player profile is created from your Epic Games account when you first sign in. To access, export, correct or delete it, email us from the address on that Epic account; deletion is completed within thirty days. Details and your rights by region are in the Privacy Policy.

Deleting your Epic Games account does not delete your player profile with us automatically. Ask us and we will.

7. Payments and donations

The game is free and currently has nothing for sale. Donations made through the address on the title screen are voluntary and non-refundable, as the Terms of Service state. If a paid tier is introduced, its refund terms will be published here before it can be bought.

8. Known issues

  • Early access: balance, sounds and effects change between builds. The changelog for each build is posted with the update.
  • Chat has no block list yet; use mute and report by email.
  • Ultrawide monitors are supported, but some menus are capped to a 16:9 width by design.

If something here is out of date, that is a bug too. Tell us.
